A quick check-in

Let me ask you something simple.

How’s your energy right now?

Not motivation. Not discipline. Energy.

January has a sneaky way of draining people. New routines, higher expectations, colder weather, busier schedules. A lot of people assume low energy means they’re not doing enough, so they push harder.

But very often, it means the opposite.

Low energy can be a sign you’re trying to do too much too fast. Too many workouts. Too much restriction. Not enough recovery, food, or sleep.

Progress doesn’t come from constantly redlining your system. It comes from giving your body just enough stress to adapt, and then enough recovery to actually improve.

If you’re feeling run down, take it as useful feedback. Maybe this week means one less intense session. Maybe it means focusing on walking, mobility, or strength instead of conditioning. Maybe it’s simply getting to bed earlier.

Listening to your body isn't a weakness. It's a skill.

It's not about proving how tough you are. It’s about setting a rhythm you can maintain. When your energy is steady, consistency gets easier. And consistency is what wins.
